Located near restaurants and the UNESCO area, this hotel has a good location. the vintage rooms are nicely decorated and the garden is great for enjoying good weather. Breakfast and hospitality are decent, with some dishes, such as the strawberry cake and self-made sausages, being particularly standout.
Some aspects of the hotel leave much to be desired and can detract from one's experience.

Found a nice accomodation with a long history, which was very typical for the area. Impressed with the gorgeous BBQs and delectable strawberry cake for desert. Staff were friendly and the vintage rooms were very pleasing. Enjoyed a relaxing stay in the inviting garden, and on rainy days, appreciated a good glass of wine in the cosy lobby.
The walls to the rooms weren't quite soundproof and we could hear people in the neighbouring rooms. the hotel's location wasn't particularly close to restaurants or amenities, which made it inconvenient for quick access.

Well-decorated Scandinavian style, comfy rooms, good breakfast, accommodating staff, 30 minutes drive to Kalmar, great for Ironman.

The vintage charm of the accommodation was nice, and the BBQs looked delicious. The location was good, with restaurants nearby and easy access to the island. The garden was a lovely place to relax on a sunny day.
The staff was unhelpful and didn't offer much information. The WiFi was only available in the main building, and the room was not as described.
